Until every question has been answered
We work with many workshops in Germany and across Europe that specialise in adapting vehicles for people with disabilities. Many of our partners have been working with us for years. But of course, any interested and qualified workshop can fit our FlexiRamp or the Robot R11 into customers’ vehicles.
To make the mechanics’ work as easy as possible, whilst ensuring that our products are fitted correctly, API customers receive comprehensive support.
API’s customer service is based on four pillars. We offer practical training sessions during which a FlexiRamp is installed live. These free training sessions take place at our factory in the Czech Republic. Detailed operating and installation instructions are supplied with every FlexiRamp.
As our third pillar, we assist our customers with urgent enquiries by telephone, video call or email. And finally, in complex individual cases, our experts provide support directly in the workshops – across Europe
Free training courses at the factory
We hold training sessions at regular intervals at our production facility in the Czech Republic. During these sessions, our specialists work alongside the trainees to install a FlexiRamp in a customer’s vehicle.
First, all components are laid out on the floor and checked. Then, all the steps required for the conversion are carried out one by one – until the FlexiRamp has been properly installed and tested. Throughout the process, a customer advisor from API Deutschland explains each individual step in detail and answers any questions that arise. This training course lasts three days.
Comprehensive documentation
As part of the delivery package, every customer receives comprehensive documentation. This includes both installation and operating instructions. Using detailed images and easy-to-understand explanations, we guide mechanics step by step through the installation process. And, of course, disabled owners of the converted vehicles should also be able to refer to the instructions at any time to find out how to operate and maintain the FlexiRamp correctly.
Both documents are updated on an ongoing basis and are available to download from our website or can simply be requested by email.
Customer service over the phone
During the ongoing refurbishment work in the workshops, specific questions frequently arise – for example, when new mechanics are involved or if it has been some time since our product was last installed. In such cases, API’s friendly customer service advisers are on hand to help via video call, telephone or email. In the vast majority of cases, this enables all questions to be answered and the installation to be successfully completed.
Europe-wide API service on site
If any outstanding issues at the workshops cannot be resolved over the phone or via video call, our technicians visit the workshops and deal with the problem in person. This happens very rarely, but API technicians have travelled not only within Germany but also to Sweden and France.
At API Germany, customer satisfaction is very important to us, as it is the key measure of our work. Whichever of the four pillars we can use to support our partners in the conversion workshops, we are happy to do so.
