We process your data for the purposes set out in more detail below. The legal basis for processing by us is that the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you and API DE are parties or for API DE to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. API DE can only provide its services and products pursuant to contracts if you make the necessary Personal Data available to us.

In addition to or instead of the legal bases set out above, where we have obtained consent, we may process your information in response to a request from you or because of API DE’s legitimate interest for marketing purposes or to otherwise inform you about our business. This applies to our customers and potential customers as well as to our business partners and suppliers.

Email – We may collect the following information: the time and date of your enquiry and/or your full IP address when you use our online services, your full name and email address, as well as any messages and attachments you may have sent with your email. We may sometimes ask you for your country and preferred language so that we can provide you with better support. This data is used to contact you by email in response to your enquiry, as well as for the marketing of services or information by email, provided you have subscribed to our newsletters. If you are a customer, a prospective customer or a supplier of API DE, you may receive email marketing and/or information in addition to emails relating to our business relationship with you. We use this data as described in the section on ‘Sharing and Disclosure’.

Forms, telephone numbers and other data – We may collect the following information: the time and date of your enquiry and/or your full IP address (where applicable), as well as the information you enter into form fields when using our online services or which you otherwise provide to us, such as your name, email address, telephone number, postal address and/or other personal data. This data is used for the following purposes: to complete and support the current activity or your enquiry, as well as for research and development of our products and services. For this purpose, the information is used in anonymised form. If you are a customer, a prospective customer or a supplier of API DE, you may receive marketing and/or information in addition to matters relating to our business relationship or potential business relationship with you. Advertising – We may collect information for various interest-based advertising functions. These include demographic and interest reporting, remarketing, GDN impression reporting and the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration. (Google)

Statistics and login data – We may collect the following information: computer data, navigation and click-stream data, interactive data and status management mechanisms, when our online services are used. This data is used for the following purposes: to complete and support the current activity; for website and system administration; for research and development; for one-off customisation; for anonymous user analysis; for anonymous user profile analysis and decision-making; and for general administration. This data is used by us and our agents. We collect this data to improve our websites and campaigns and to offer you a higher-quality service.

Cookies – We use cookies to collect and store information relating to your visit to our websites and services for the purposes of analysing website traffic and/or improving traffic and the visitor experience, such as Google Analytics or other tools.

Sharing and Disclosure – We may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law enforcement, government or regulatory authorities.

We may also share your information with other companies in the group of which API DE is a part, such as owners and subsidiaries, and with our partners and resellers, to fulfill requests from you, for example, to refer you to a reseller in your country or to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. We may also disclose your personal data to the same category of recipients in order to fulfill our obligations in a business relationship. If we sell or assign all or a portion of our assets to a third party, we reserve the right to transfer your necessary personal information as well and we will use reasonable efforts to provide you with advance notice of any such transfer.
