REHACARE Shows Great Interest in API Solutions

From September 13–16, 2023, REHACARE, the international trade fair for rehabilitation and care, took place in Düsseldorf. This year, over 700 exhibitors from 37 countries were in attendance. API was, of course, there again. In Hall 6, we presented our new mobility solutions for people with disabilities.

New Robot Is a Crowd-Pleaser

This time, the focus was particularly on the newly developed robot. The completely redesigned prototype was a huge crowd-pleaser at our booth. The API specialists answered numerous questions about the new development and took the opportunity to test the prototype under continuous operation.

“Installing the new robot requires virtually no modifications to the vehicle because we’ll be using existing mounting points. Thanks to SmartDrive, the robot moves completely smoothly. In addition, we’re saving weight because we’re having certain components manufactured from carbon fiber,” explains API Managing Director Stephan Schwartz, highlighting just a few of the many advantages of the new robot.

New Contacts in South America

Numerous trade visitors, primarily from Asia, the U.S., and Europe, gathered at the API booth. Discussions with representatives from South America were particularly encouraging. The representatives showed great interest in FlexiRamp and the new robot and have established good contacts with retrofitters from Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico.

The eVito and the eBelingo, equipped with specialized conversion kits from FlexiRamp, were on display at our booth for visitors to see and test drive. However, the topic of e-mobility, which had generated a great deal of interest last year, received significantly less attention this year.

Visitors and exhibitors are nearly back to pre-COVID levels

The 700 exhibitors showcased their innovations to more than 30,000 trade visitors from over 80 countries. On display were solutions and technologies for accessible construction and housing, mobility and walking aids, and assistive devices for children. The satisfied organizer noted a strong signal in favor of inclusion, participation, and digitalization in the healthcare market.

We would like to thank all our visitors and look forward to continuing our many valuable relationships.
