In May 2022, RETTmobil 2022 finally took place again in Fulda. We were, of course, there to present API Deutschland’s product range to the international trade audience.
The focus was particularly on e-mobility solutions, both throughout the trade show and at our booth in Hall F. Visitors were especially interested in the Mercedes eVito, which had been retrofitted with the FlexiRamp, as API Managing Director Stephan Schwartz confirms:
“Our eVito was a real crowd-pleaser. Not only trade visitors but also Mercedes representatives were impressed by our conversion. We also had very productive discussions with the official Norwegian Mercedes importers.”
Demand for e-mobility is particularly high in this Northern European country, as the Norwegian government is pursuing a progressive policy to phase out internal combustion engines. As early as December 2020, two-thirds of all new registrations were all-electric cars.
Focus on Personal Interaction
“People are eager for face-to-face interaction—we noticed that very clearly at the API booth. We met many business partners and had plenty of positive interactions with potential customers. We’ll be following up on these in the coming months,” Schwartz concludes, expressing his overall satisfaction.
Overall, the first Rettmobil following the forced hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic was a real success. With 22,000 visitors from over 50 countries and nearly 470 exhibitors from 25 countries, these figures exceeded the organizers’ expectations. As a result, the organizers and the industry are already looking forward to the next trade show, which will take place from May 10 to 12, 2023.
API Germany will also be exhibiting at this year’s REHACARE from September 14–17 in Düsseldorf.
