FlexiRamp for horizontal transport

Some people with mobility impairments, for example from nursing homes, can only be transported lying down on stretchers. Occasions can be, for example, doctor’s appointments or rehabilitation measures outside of one’s own four walls. Until now, this was often only possible in classic ambulances or converted large vehicles.

Now our Czech parent company API CZ, in cooperation with Waldspurger AG, has developed a special FlexiRamp XL developed for the Caddy Maxi 5 . This means that people with special needs can also be transported in much smaller vehicles such as the Caddy Maxi or the Ford Grand Connect.

A special holder must be mounted on the base of the FlexiRamp installation kit for the stretcher. Rolf Waldspurger, Managing Director of the Swiss family-owned company, is pleased that this expansion will enable him to offer maximum flexibility for all customers.

Even during the journey, the patient can be optimally cared for by an accompanying person. This is possible due to the generous inner width of the FlexiRamp trough. This allows the stretcher to be combined with an original seat placed next to it, explains Miroslav Bartoš, founder and CEO of API CZ.

Waldspurger AG is located near Zurich and is the exclusive API partner in Switzerland. Vehicles for passenger transport have been converted here since 1978.
